Freeze the Fall is a hard-hitting rock trio from Kelowna, BC, blending explosive riffs, melodic intensity, and raw emotion into a sound that’s all their own. Formed in 2022 by three high schoolers, the band has quickly evolved from local upstarts into one of Canada’s most exciting emerging acts.
At the core are Quinn Mitzel (vocals/guitar), Aria Becker (bass/vocals), and Jonah Goncalves (drums) each bringing precision, passion, and surprising depth to every track and live performance. Drawing inspiration from bands like Spiritbox, Paramore, Architects, and Bring Me the Horizon, Freeze the Fall’s music explores themes of identity, isolation, and resilience with an unfiltered edge.
Their debut EP, Thrones, put them on the radar, earning national praise and two People's Choice Awards in their hometown. With follow-up singles like VHS, Aurora, and Oubliette, they’ve continued to push boundaries—both sonically and emotionally.
Now signed to 604 Records, the band is set to release their sophomore EP, The Red Garden, in June 2025. Whether playing to packed rooms in Vancouver or releasing cinematic music videos that spark hundreds of YouTube reactions, Freeze the Fall is building more than just a fanbase…they’re building a movement.

"As an avid supporter and admirer, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the achievements and the extraordinary journey Freeze the Fall has embarked on as a high school rock band.
The way they harness their musical talent to create such powerful and emotional music is truly a gift. Each performance they give breathes life into their audience and speaks directly to the hearts of their friends, family, and fans. Their dedication to mastering their craft is evident in their performances, which always leave their fans wanting more.
What sets them apart, however, is not just their musical ability, but the kindness and hard work that defines who they are. They are not just a band; they are an example of what young people can achieve when they are dedicated, compassionate, and collaborative.
I have seen firsthand how hard they work, balancing the demands of school with their passion for music.
Freeze the Fall has set a high standard for what can be accomplished with determination and focus, and I do not doubt that this work ethic will serve them well in all their future endeavours."

"This band truly exemplifies 'the hunger of the young'.
There is an obvious voracious appetite for writing, creating music & performing. They carry themselves well beyond their years, and I can only imagine where the future will take them.
There's attention to detail in everything: marketing, promotion, stage presence... even the banter and crowd interaction are dialled into an unbelievable level.
You would expect to see this kind of stuff from a much more seasoned band. Yet, they already have it in heaps and spades!
Freeze the Fall has a whole lot of stages waiting with their name on them, of that much I am 100% sure.
It's a pleasure to have been part of the beginning of what I know are much grander things to come."
